Hi there! I am a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep. I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan, graduating with a Bachelor’s in English Language and Literature and Communications Studies with a minor in Business Administration from the Ross School of Business. During my time at the University of Michigan, I gained experience in editorial work as the Managing Copy Editor of the Michigan Daily and Editorial Assistant for The University of Michigan Press. After graduating, I began my journey in education as a Teach for America corps member in Chicago, Illinois. I taught for a Pre-K Head Start program while pursuing my Master’s degree in Education from Erikson Institute. Soon after my time as a classroom teacher, I became a mentor teacher, coaching education professionals across a network of schools.
Throughout my career working in education, I have developed a belief that all students can achieve success, and it is our job as educators to support them reach their individual goals. My favorite part of teaching is building strong, trusting relationships with my students, learning about their aspirations and interests, and working together to reach those goals.
Apart from my passion for education, I also enjoy traveling (most recently learning Spanish in Colombia), hiking, practicing and teaching yoga and meditation, cooking, and leading a women’s book club.
