Jessica earned her Master of Science in Education from Johns Hopkins and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from American University. Her career spans from executing community-based projects across sub-Saharan Africa to leading high-stakes fundraising and partnerships as the Director of Development for an international nonprofit organization focused on rural healthcare, education, and economic mobility.
Before stepping into executive nonprofit leadership, Jessica dedicated years to the ground-level development of young scholars as a teacher, mentor, and college advisor. She has taught in diverse classrooms across the United States, South Korea, and India—global experiences that cemented her firm belief in education’s power to expand perspectives and unlock elite professional opportunities. Throughout her journey, she has worked closely with students from highly diverse cultural, economic, and geographic backgrounds, skillfully guiding them through competitive admissions landscapes, leadership acquisition, and long-term academic roadmapping.
In addition to her international and public sector experience, Jessica possesses deep expertise in highly specialized and complex admissions pathways. She serves as a strategic advisor for hyper-competitive BS/MD (combined medical) programs, helping aspiring physicians craft impeccable research and clinical narratives.
As a Graduate Coach, her pedagogical background also equips her to design highly customized admissions roadmaps for homeschooled students navigating traditional application requirements, as well as students with learning differences, ensuring their cognitive strengths and unique resilience are highlighted effectively. Jessica leverages her personal and professional familiarity with competitive dance and photography to help creative and performing arts students build compelling portfolios and artistic profiles.
