Hello, Joe Zeng here! I am a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep. My passion is to provide ambitious students with the right help and resources so that they can successfully achieve their goals.
I attended Columbia Business School to earn my Master’s degree in Marketing Science, with the focus of deriving creative insights from quantitative analysis and market understanding. Prior to that, I completed two Bachelor’s degrees in Managerial Economics and Statistics from University of California, Davis.
During my undergraduate years, I held the position of English writing tutor at the Student Academic Success Center, where I conducted 400+ 1-on-1 tutoring sessions with undergraduate students, and gained extensive experience in proofreading student papers and providing guidance. I have also engaged with students in many steps during their college/graduate school application process, including program selection, resume & personal statement editing, and mock interviews. My students achieved dream offers from Columbia, Duke, USC, UC Berkeley, to name a few.
My career passion is finance and business/data analytics. I have professional experiences in several public companies in the retail banking, financial services and insurance brokerage sectors. From building out data dashboards that visualize the health of a business to creating sophisticated machine learning models that predict customer behaviors, I have expertise in and deep passion for applying quantitative analytical tools and methods to enhance business decision making.
In my spare time, I love to play poker, hike and travel. I love trying out new things and going on adventures.
