Maisha Mohinuddin is a Former Admissions Officer with InGenius Prep, based in New York. With over eights years of experience in higher education, she has built her career around helping students discover and access opportunities that align with their goals and potential.
Maisha earned her Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Psychology from Brooklyn College and her Master of Science in Management from Stevens Institute of Technology.
She began her higher education career at Columbia Engineering, where she supported applicants across more than 40 graduate programs. In this role, she guided students through the admissions process from start to finish, reviewing applications, ensuring materials were complete and accurate, and providing personalized support to help each applicant present their strongest self.
Maisha later joined Stevens Institute of Technology, where she held multiple roles across admissions, enrollment, and program management. During her time there, she worked with a wide range of graduate student populations, including online, domestic, corporate, and international students. She supported them at various stages of the enrollment and program experience. She led and supported the development of professional and graduate education programs, partnering closely with faculty and industry stakeholders to strengthen curriculum delivery, improve the admissions experience, and build structured, supportive pathways for diverse learners.
As a Former Admissions Officer, Maisha finds the greatest joy in empowering students to tell their stories authentically and confidently. She believes the admissions process should be an opportunity for self-discovery and not stress. Her warm and encouraging approach helps students identify schools where they will thrive, while ensuring their applications reflect who they truly are.
