Maisha Mohinuddin is a Former Admissions Officer with InGenius Prep based in New York and a higher education professional with nearly a decade of experience in graduate admissions and student recruitment. Throughout her career, she has been passionate about helping students identify opportunities that align with their academic, professional, and personal goals while creating pathways that support long-term success.
Maisha earned her Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Psychology from Brooklyn College and her Master of Science in Management from Stevens Institute of Technology.
She began her higher education career at Columbia Engineering, where she supported admissions and recruitment efforts across more than 40 graduate engineering programs. In this role, she partnered with faculty and internal stakeholders to guide applicants through the admissions process, evaluate applications, and provide individualized support to prospective students. This experience established a strong foundation in admissions operations, candidate assessment, and student engagement.
Maisha later joined Stevens Institute of Technology, where she expanded into strategic enrollment management and corporate partnership development. She worked closely with Fortune 500 organizations to design and deliver workforce-aligned graduate programs, building and managing candidate pipelines while strengthening relationships with corporate partners. As a central point of ownership, she collaborated across cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless, high-touch experience for both students and organizational partners throughout the student lifecycle, from inquiry through graduation.
As her responsibilities advanced, Maisha moved into senior-level admissions and enrollment roles supporting online, domestic, corporate, and international student populations. Her work consistently focused on aligning enrollment strategy with stakeholder engagement to create accessible, student-centered experiences.
Maisha also serves in a volunteer leadership role with CollabED, where she is helping build recruitment and partnership strategies from the ground up. In this role, she is also contributing to the development of a collaborative space for educators to share challenges, exchange ideas, and learn from one another in real time. This experience has strengthened her ability to create structure in evolving environments, build sustainable systems, and design strategies that support long-term growth.
As a Former Admissions Officer, Maisha finds the greatest joy in empowering students to tell their stories authentically and confidently.
