Omar Ahmed is a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep based in the UK. He is also a PhD student in Engineering Science at the University of Oxford. He received his MEng in Engineering Science from the University of Oxford, where he studied a range of engineering disciplines before specializing in machine learning and music information retrieval. This specialization allowed him to combine his interest in music production with his engineering education, leading to a published paper on the automatic transcription of guitar tablature. He is now applying his expertise to his PhD research, which focuses on using reinforcement learning for music improvisation.
As a Graduate Coach and throughout his time in higher education, Omar has consistently sought opportunities to mentor and guide students. As the Student Representative for Engineering Science at Pembroke College, Oxford, he taught other students and advised them on their module selections.
