Prashant Ramesh is a Graduate Coach with Ingenius Prep based in Delaware. Prashant is nearing completion of his PhD in Materials Science & Engineering at the University of Delaware in collaboration with Université Paris-Saclay, Centre de Nanosciences et de Nanotechnologies, in Paris, France. Prashant also holds an MS and BS in engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, where his research focused on quantum and semiconductor materials. Prashant researches experimental quantum computation using semiconductor devices and light. He has presented the results of his work at conferences in multiple countries, and co-authored multiple publications.
To support this work, he obtained a Fulbright Doctoral Research Fellowship to conduct research at Université Paris-Saclay. Outside of academia, Prashant has also worked in R&D and manufacturing at startups developing semiconductor technologies. Prashant also has experience in teaching, advising, and curriculum development. He has served as a teaching assistant for undergraduate and graduate courses ranging from Energy Systems & Policy to graduate-level Quantum Physics and co-led a summer science program for high school students. He also received a grant to develop a curriculum for a new master’s program at Penn focused on energy technologies.
Prashant is a lifelong musician, having been part of a touring collegiate music group, and he continues to perform and produce music. He enjoys mentoring students to find their passions and best position themselves for undergraduate and graduate admissions. He particularly enjoys working with STEM and arts-focused students and those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
