Rebecca Gao is a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep based in Oxford, UK. As a Research and Development Operations professional, Rebecca brings a unique blend of analysis, management, and educational insight to her role as a Graduate Coach. With an MPhil in Medical History from the University of Oxford and first-class honors in Economic History from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), Rebecca has contributed her skills to medical and educational institutions. Her research focuses on the intersection of medicine, public health, and colonial bodies in East Asia. At LSE, Rebecca conducted independent research projects and worked as a research assistant on the Lock Project. Rebecca now brings her experience in higher education and analytical approach to her role as a Graduate Coach—helping students find their optimal educational and career opportunities.
As a mentor, Rebecca’s guidance has helped students gain acceptance into prestigious institutions such as the University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge, LSE, and Warwick University. Her extensive experience includes teaching ESL to university students and working as a specialist note-taker for students with learning disabilities at LSE.
As a Graduate Coach, Rebecca adopts a holistic approach, tailoring her guidance to each student’s unique strengths and aspirations. She excels in crafting compelling personal statements, providing strategic advice on university selection, and preparing students for interviews—giving her mentees all the tools they need to succeed in the competitive college admissions landscape.
