Sarah D. Carlson is a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep based in North Carolina. She has a background as a Harvard Law graduate and former Wall Street litigator. She has coached hundreds of law and graduate students through every stage of the admissions and career journey, from application to career launch.
She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Arizona with degrees in Political Science and Spanish before attending law school at Tulane. She later transferred to Harvard Law School, clerked for a federal judge, and practiced at top firms in New York. In career services leadership roles at Duke and Emory, she built career programs and taught professional development courses that remain core to their curricula, equipping students to leverage what they gain and use it in the world.
As a Graduate Coach, Sarah brings a full-spectrum perspective on what it takes to get into top programs and make the most of them. She is the author of “The Five Principles of Effective Self-Advocacy” (forthcoming, 2025) and a national speaker on career empowerment. Her passion is helping students uncover what drives them and gain entry into programs that align with their purpose.
