Soren Cole is a Graduate Coach and an elite translational research scientist whose academic background uniquely bridges the complex worlds of biomedical engineering, genomics, medicine, and business. Soren began his diverse academic journey at Indiana University South Bend, earning a B.S. in General Business with a focus on Entrepreneurship. Pivoting into high-level STEM and medicine, he went on to earn two master’s degrees from Johns Hopkins University—one in Applied Biomedical Engineering and another in Individualized Genomics and Health. He is continuing his advanced training with an M.S. in Regulatory Science at the University of Maryland, Baltimore alongside a Ph.D. in Medical Sciences at the Texas A&M University College of Medicine, where he serves as a Graduate Assistant–Researcher.
Soren brings profound, hands-on clinical and laboratory experience from some of the most selective medical ecosystems in the world. As a former Research Technologist at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, he managed interdisciplinary projects and directly mentored undergraduate and high school students, building their laboratory techniques and scientific reasoning. Soren is also a widely published scholar whose cutting-edge research in cancer biology, cardiovascular medicine, and regenerative therapies has been featured in top-tier peer-reviewed journals, including Cancer Discovery, Cell Reports Medicine, Blood, and the Journal of the American Heart Association.

Having successfully blended a business foundation with advanced engineering and medical research, he understands exactly how to help students translate their diverse interests into a single, powerhouse application.
