Vincent Buckman is a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep based in Chicago. Vincent is a second-year student at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. Originally hailing from Awaso, Ghana, he immigrated to the USA after completing his first year of high school. With immense determination and the support of the Questbridge Scholarship, he had the opportunity to pursue a major in Biochemistry at Washington and Lee University. Following his undergraduate studies, Vincent delved into the world of healthcare consulting, where he honed his skills for two years before enrolling in medical school.
Throughout his time at Washington and Lee University, Vincent actively served as an English Speakers for Other Languages (ESOL) tutor, a science and math tutor, and provided guidance and mentoring to students through the complexities of the college application process. At Washington and Lee, Vincent was inducted into the Tri Beta Biological Honors Society, and was a Bonner, Questbridge, and Gates Millenuim Scholar. After graduating, Vincent served as a Research Fellow at the Harvard Chan School of Public Health, focusing on Biostatistics and Computational Biology.
At InGenius Prep, Vincent enjoys assisting students on their path to medical school, while recognizing the unique challenges each individual faces. As a first-generation student, an immigrant, a former ESOL student, and now a medical student, Vincent has personally experienced and understands the obstacles that students encounter in their pursuit of higher education. Vincent contributes his knowledge and empathy to help make the application process less daunting and build strong candidacies for medical school applications.
