Yusra has a background in education, one-on-one counseling, writing, editing, brand communications, and digital and social media marketing. Based in Los Angeles, she holds a master’s degree in Communication Management: Marketing Communications from the University of Southern California – Annenberg, ranked number one in the world for Media and Journalism studies. Yusra also graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in English and Education from the University of California, Los Angeles, the number one public university in the United States.
Throughout her professional journey, she has gained valuable experience working with diverse students in academic settings. This includes over 10 years of tutoring and mentoring students in a variety of subjects, guiding them through the college application process, and working as an assistant English teacher and college writing consultant. Yusra has also worked as an executive editor and copy editor for LA-based newsmagazines and has experience in copywriting, digital marketing, and social media management across various sectors, including entertainment, media, retail, beauty, and tech. She’s passionate about using her knowledge and experience to help students achieve their goals while fostering an atmosphere that makes the process enjoyable.
Outside of her professional commitments, Yusra enjoys watching shows and movies, creating relatable memes, reading, staying fit, practicing skincare, drinking coffee, trying new foods, traveling, and going on night drives.
