Zoey Cort is a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep and a first-year medical student at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She grew up in Los Angeles and earned her BA in Neuroscience and Behavior with distinction from Barnard College of Columbia University. During her two gap years, she moved to Chicago and worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator at Northwestern’s Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center, where she facilitated interventional oncology clinical trials.
Since her own medical school application cycle, Zoey has formally mentored numerous applicants through every stage of the process, from developing authentic personal narratives and editing primary and secondary essays to interview preparation and application strategy. She has also tutored students across a wide range of subjects, including science, mathematics, writing, and MCAT preparation.
As a Graduate Coach, Zoey draws on her firsthand experience navigating the medical school application process to serve as a thoughtful advisor and encouraging mentor, helping students present the strongest version of themselves while finding programs where they will thrive.
