Greetings! I am a Former Admissions Officer with InGenius Prep, based in Raleigh, North Carolina. My career in higher education began immediately after graduating as the top Marketing student from Appalachian State University. While pursuing my master’s degree in higher education from Bowling Green State University, I worked as an academic advisor for honors students and led the programmatic side of the admissions process to my graduate program. Following my graduation, my career led me to create transformative student leader experiences, plan large-scale student events, and lead recruiting efforts for regional graduate programs. From an admissions perspective, I spent two years leading recruitment and admission to the Master of Management Studies program at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. I traveled extensively to recruit students for our programs, read thousands of applications, and managed the team of interviewers to make final admissions decisions.
Now, my work focuses on career consulting, and I coach students from over 50 countries, lead workshops for a global student population, and design programs that guide students from orientation to post-graduation employment. My holistic perspective on higher education, in addition to the academic training I gained by earning my doctorate in education from North Carolina State University, allows me to tailor my coaching based on the background and interests of every student. Every journey is unique, and I look forward to guiding more students to success.
Outside of work, you can find me training for half marathons and marathons, watching cooking shows, and volunteering in the local community. Otherwise, I’m busy playing and being outdoors with my two children and our two dogs!
