Catherine Trusky is a Graduate Coach based in North Carolina with a robust background in English and rhetorical studies. She earned her B.A. in English Literature from Dartmouth College and is currently completing an M.A in English at Northeastern University with a focus in writing and rhetoric studies.

Catherine has extensive experience guiding students through the college admissions process, having worked one-on-one with over a dozen students to craft compelling application essays and develop effective writing strategies. She specializes in demystifying the writing process, offering tailored feedback, and helping students articulate their unique perspectives with clarity and confidence. Her approach draws on her deep understanding of rhetorical principles, which she integrates into her mentorship to help students strengthen their arguments and storytelling.

Beyond admissions, Catherine is an accomplished writer and editor. As a contributing reporter and content researcher for The Dartmouth, she produced in-depth, research-driven articles that reached an audience of over 5,000. She has also served as a literary magazine editor, where she reviewed and refined creative submissions, helping writers polish their work for publication. Catherine’s extensive experience in writing, editing, and providing detailed feedback informs her approach as a mentor, empowering students to express their ideas clearly and confidently in every essay.
