Akosua Oppong is a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep based in Massachusetts. As a professional in health and medicine, Akosua brings a balance of medical experience and admissions insights to her role as a Graduate Coach. Akosua received her BS in Behavioral Neuroscience from Northeastern University, her MPH in Women’s and Reproductive Health Studies from the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health, and a medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. She now brings her knowledge of the college admissions process to her role as a Graduate Coach.
Throughout her academic journey, Akosua has been deeply involved in mentorship. She had served in a program helping high school-aged girls interested in STEM gain exposure to science-related pursuits. Akosua has also worked as a Peer Educator in multiple courses and was chosen as a voting member of the Admissions Committee in her fourth year of medical school. Throughout her roles, Akosua has interviewed many students applying for college admissions, and she understands what makes a successful application.
As a Graduate Coach, Akosua uses her knowledge of the admissions process to help students tailor their applications to their top-choice schools. Akosua has advised dozens of students on medical school applications. Through her work as a counselor, she strives to give each student the personalized guidance they need to make an impact in the admissions office. With her insights and leadership, students will confidently navigate the admissions process for their dream school.
