Hello! I am a PhD Linguistics Candidate at Cornell University and Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep. I received my undergraduate and MPhil degrees from the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom, where I majored in Applied and Theoretical Linguistics. Over the last three years, I have worked on the undergraduate interview and admissions panel at Kings College, Cambridge, reading and assessing hundreds of undergraduate applications and conducting countless interviews. I have also worked for much of the past seven years as an admissions tutor, aiding students in their undergraduate applications process, including aiding in essay and interview preparation.
I am a dedicated tutor and coach, and it is my ultimate goal to be there with each of my students, every step of the way, in their application process. Having been on both sides of the application process, I understand how daunting the journey can be. But as a calm, understanding and devoted teacher, I will be there to alleviate the stress from the process and help my students to submit the best application that they possibly can.
Outside of work, I like to write novels, paint, hike and travel. I also speak several languages, including Korean (TOPIK 6) and Spanish. One of my greatest passions is cooking, and in my spare time, I teach cooking classes for beginners.
