Hello, I am a Graduate Coach at InGenius Prep. I completed my undergraduate studies in Journalism with a minor in Media Production & Analysis at the Ohio State University and graduated magna cum laude. During school, I polished my writing and critical thinking skillsets at a student newspaper, Lantern, as a campus reporter. Outside of the classroom, I developed strong leadership experience by forming a Used-Book Exchange Organization. During this time, I started to get interested in business management and marketing operations. After graduating from Ohio State, I wanted to enhance my education in business/marketing and went to Northwestern for my graduate degree in the top-ranked Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) program. After graduating and building up my knowledge and portfolio in business from NU, I worked for a year in the digital marketing industry in Los Angeles and decided to pursue another master’s degree in Business Analytics/Data Analytics at UC Davis to further build my quantitative competence in business and marketing.
Through my experience studying and working in the US, I have developed a deeper understanding of the college application process and what universities are looking for in candidates, especially in international candidates. Outside of my academic experience, I also volunteered in college admission consulting to teach and mentor upcoming international students with their applications and college onboarding process. As a former international student myself, I understand students’ pain points, struggles and used my past experience to educate them on important cultural and educational topics during the full application cycle. From those experiences, I am confident and competent to work with students to build compelling and unique application portfolios.
In my spare time, I love playing basketball and play the basketball video game, NBA2K! Travel is also my life-long passion and I enjoy the experience of going to different places, learning different cultures and using my camera to document and cherish every moment.
