Arlene is a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep based in New York. She is dedicated to advancing educational access and equity for underserved communities. With over two decades of experience in higher education institutions and nonprofit organizations, Arlene has shaped pathways for students to achieve academic success. Her academic foundation, including a Ph.D. in Social Welfare from Stony Brook University, a Master of Arts in Social Policy from SUNY Empire State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Science and Technology Studies from Cornell University, College of Arts and Sciences, has provided her with expertise in policy analysis, student advocacy, and institutional leadership.
Arlene’s professional experience includes 14 years at the State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate Health Sciences University, School of Public Health, where she played a pivotal role in student development programs. She also served as the Science Technology Entry Program (STEP) Coordinator at the City University of New York, New York City College of Technology, and as Education Director for the Boys and Girls Club of America. These roles have provided her with deep insight into student mentorship, curriculum development, and institutional strategies for education accessibility.
As a Graduate Coach, she helps high school, undergraduate, and graduate learners navigate their academic, personal, and professional aspirations, ensuring they make informed decisions about their future.
