Casey Ma graduated from Yale University’s accelerated joint MBA/MPH program as a recipient of
Dean’s Scholarships from both programs, awarded in recognition of outstanding achievement beyond
academics. She previously earned a B.S. in Business Psychology from the University of California, San
Diego, graduating with Magna Cum Laude and Departmental Honors, along with a minor in Education.
During her undergraduate years, she also conducted research in industrial psychology and education,
developing a strong foundation in both human behavior and learning.
Casey brings firsthand admissions experience from both leading public and private institutions. At UC
Undergraduate Admissions, she advised more than 6,000 prospective students and families on
admissions, academic planning, financial aid, transfer pathways, and university life while supporting
large-scale recruitment initiatives. At Yale, she worked with the Yale Admissions Team, interviewing
prospective students and supporting admissions events and recruitment initiatives.
Beyond admissions, Casey has been deeply involved in Yale’s entrepreneurship and innovation
ecosystem. She serves as President of the Yale Greater China Club and as a Senior Associate at Yale
Ventures, where she continues to support and organize flagship entrepreneurship initiatives, including the
Annual Yale Healthcare Hackathon, startup showcases, founder networking events, and the East Coast
Venture Visiting Program. Through these experiences, she has built an extensive network of
entrepreneurs, venture capital investors, startup founders, researchers, and industry leaders, enabling her
to connect students with cutting-edge opportunities and insights across academia, innovation, and
business.
Professionally, Casey’s experience spans management consulting, healthcare, VCs, and business strategy,
with extensive experience across multiple Fortune 500 companies and startups in the globe. She combines
industry insight with admissions expertise to help students translate their academic interests into
meaningful research, internships, leadership experiences, entrepreneurial initiatives, and long-term career
development.
Casey specializes in working with students aspiring to attend selective universities, particularly those
interested in Social Sciences, Economics, Business, Management, Public Policy, Healthcare, and
interdisciplinary fields. She is especially passionate about helping students who are exploring multiple
interests, refining their academic direction, or building a distinctive profile that bridges research,
leadership, community services, and real-world impact.
Having personally applied to 20 graduate programs and received 17 admission offers, including
admission to every Ivy League institution she applied to, Casey understands the admissions process from
both the applicant’s and evaluator’s perspectives. She also received extensive merit-based scholarships.
Casey believes that successful applications are built not by simply accumulating accomplishments, but by
developing a clear sense of purpose, strategically connecting experiences, and presenting an authentic
story that resonates with admissions committees. Through individualized mentorship, she helps students
identify their unique strengths, maximize meaningful opportunities, and confidently pursue admission to
the world’s most competitive universities.
