Charan Kandasamy Raja is a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep, based in New York. As a professional in computer science and software development, Charan brings a technical approach to his role as a counselor. Having earned an integrated BS/MS with Distinction in Theoretical Computer Science from PSG College of Technology and a Master’s in Computer Science from New York University, Charan began his mentorship of students throughout his academic and professional experience, and now he works to bring his expertise to students who strive for academic excellence.
In his prior roles, Charan has amassed a wealth of experience in technology, machine learning, and data science. While at university, Charan served as the president of the English Literary Society, organizing talks and workshops for over 200 students. He also successfully guided students toward acceptance into NYU, UMass Amherst, and Northeastern University by refining their Statements of Purpose, Letters of Recommendation, and university selection processes. With his experience as a Software Engineer at Amazon and VC Investment Intern at Atento Capital, Charan has continually served as a resource for students and working professionals meaning to excel in their fields.
As a Graduate Coach, Charan now works with students to guide them through the application process and find success in their areas of interest. Charan personalizes his coaching to meet the unique needs of each of his students. His ability to help students articulate their strengths and align their applications with their goals has been instrumental in their successful admission to top universities. With his guidance, students will be able to find their own success as experts in their fields and find their place studying at the schools of their choice.
