I’m currently in my second year of reading Law at St. Hilda’s College, Oxford University.
I am highly passionate about LNAT/aptitude test tuition and Oxbridge application help as I come from a comprehensive state school in Northern Ireland, which was unprepared to assist me in these processes. Consequently, I had to educate myself in how to excel in this exam (achieving 31 when the national average was 21.5 in 2019, and the average Oxford acceptance score being 27). As noted, I educated myself fully in terms of the deductive reasoning questions in the LNAT. I have developed methods of how to spot-check for keywords that determine the answers to the questions in the short-space of time allocated. I go through papers with the individuals I am tutoring and illustrate how best to ‘beat the system’ and ace this difficult paper. My knowledge of these aptitude tests and the application process is extensive, expert and up-to-date, due to the relatively recent nature of my success.
Due to my Law degree and experience writing first level essays, my writing skills are distinguished and I am qualified to proof-read and improve any essays or coursework, or to generally guide in writing. I am also highly proficient in both sections of the LNAT exam and can help with either the multiple choice or the difficult, but more easily improved, essay section.
Furthermore, the UCAS, personal statement, interview and overall application process was a largely self-taught experience, and consequently my knowledge and advice on these topics is vast. I am happy to improve personal statements, perform a mock interview or have an information chat with anyone about any section of the process, as I know how daunting it is. But it is definitely possible and I would be delighted to show that too!
