I’m a PhD candidate in U.S. History at Yale University. My research in modern US history, including US foreign policy, has been supported by the American Historical Association, the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, and the Massachusetts Historical Society, among others. Before coming to Yale, I studied History and English at Dartmouth College, where I graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa.
Teaching is a passion of mine. At Yale, I’ve taught classes in a wide range of historical fields, from economic history to LGBT history. While at Dartmouth, I was a writing tutor for three years and the head of the campus writing center in my senior year. I love helping students express their thoughts clearly through writing and discover their own writing voice, whether for their next academic paper or their personal writing.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, running, and spending time with my wife and dog.
