Meng-Run (Clivia) Zhang is a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep with extensive academic training from top international institutions. She holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), an M.Ed. in Child Studies from Vanderbilt University, and a bachelor’s degree from Tsinghua University. Her research focuses on understanding how parenting practices shape child and adolescent development, utilizing a multifaceted methodology that integrates developmental, social, and cultural perspectives.
Clivia has extensive experience mentoring students at world-class institutions, including Tsinghua, Vanderbilt, CUHK, and NYU Shanghai. She has trained and supervised teams of undergraduate and graduate students on research projects, and provided guidance for students’ courses, independent study, and thesis projects.
As a Graduate Coach, her mentoring style is supportive, thoughtful, and goal-oriented. She aims to foster students’ intrinsic motivation and sense of autonomy. Clivia is passionate about helping students build confidence, stay focused, and develop a compelling application narrative that reflects their true potential.
