My Tang (pronounced “Me”) is a Former Admissions Officer and a first-generation college graduate with over a decade of experience in college advising. Currently based in Seattle after a career established in Southern California, My has supported more than 2,000 students through the post-high school planning process. Her unique background blends the technical insight of a UC admissions reader with the empathetic, hands-on experience of a specialized College & Career Counselor.
My possesses an encyclopedic knowledge of the UC and CSU systems, as well as the University of Washington and other major West Coast pathways. She has guided applicants into every imaginable major—from Pre-Med and Computer Science to Fire Science and Theatre. Her advising style is warm and structured, designed to demystify the “overwhelming” nature of admissions and help students build competitive profiles through strategic course selection, dual enrollment, and impactful extracurricular planning.
