I am a Former Admissions Officer with InGenius Prep based in London, United Kingdom. I attended UC Berkeley and completed my Bachelor of Arts in Political Economy and a minor in Spanish and graduated with honors. After working as a legal assistant for a year, I returned to UC Berkeley School of Law to pursue my law degree. During law school, I participated in the California Asylum Representation Clinic, Workers’ Rights Clinic, International Human Rights Clinic, and I was co-chair for outreach and recruitment for La Raza Law Students Association. I enjoyed mentoring high school and college students interested in law school, and I helped organize panels where prospective law students could ask law school students questions about law school and the admissions process. Upon graduating from law school, I worked as an immigration attorney at a non-profit in Oakland, where I advised and counseled clients on a variety of immigration matters. After practising law for a couple of years, I decided to pursue a career in higher education and was hired as an Associate Director of Admissions at UC Berkeley School of Law. As Associate Director of Admissions, I was responsible for reviewing hundreds of applications each admissions cycle and made admission decisions. I also liked connecting prospective students to current students and alumni, and I loved traveling to various university campuses around the country answering questions about the law school experience.
After several years working at Berkeley Law, I married my British husband and moved to the UK. I started work at the U.S. Embassy in London soon after moving to the UK, and I continued reading law school applications for Berkeley Law on a part-time basis. During my free time, I love to travel! Living in London makes it easy to travel to most of Europe, and my husband and I enjoy exploring new cities and countries.
