Hello! I am a Graduate Coach based in Brooklyn, New York. I received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a double major in Global Studies and Dramatic Art and a minor in Music. I graduated with highest honors and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Throughout my undergraduate career, I was very involved in the performing arts and held leading roles on and offstage. As a member of six theatre organizations, I wrote original sketches, produced musicals, and sang at local venues. I also worked as an Admissions Ambassador for three years, leading tours for prospective students, answering questions about student life, and advising them on the application process. Through the Honors Carolina Program, I studied abroad in both London and Rome.
My professional career in education has allowed me to work with students from kindergarten through high school in a variety of unique contexts. Shortly after graduation, I spent a year teaching and performing on an educational campus in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, with English Musicals Korea. In New York City, I currently work as an expert-level private tutor, helping students improve their scores in academic programs and prepare for standardized entrance exams. I also lead students in after-school classes with Broadway Bound Kids, teaching them songwriting and acting. Most importantly, my experiences emphasize accessibility and collaboration. I believe that every student has a unique set of gifts, and I find so much joy in watching them develop and share these strengths.
I spend my free time writing, listening to music, and running. I especially enjoy visiting parks, museums, and coffee shops–I am always seeking my next great New York City adventure (or meal)!
