Hi, I’m Oscar, and I’m a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep. I’m currently a medical student at Green Templeton College, Oxford. I also completed my Bachelor’s degree at Oxford, at Trinity College, where I majored in neuroscience in my final year. In the early years I studied a whole range of medical sciences, ranging from anatomy to biochemistry. I graduated with a first-class degree, and was awarded the RA Knox prize from Trinity College for my performance in finals.
I’m passionate about the biosciences: my main interests are in neuroscience, musculoskeletal biology and oncology. I worked in a cancer research lab in Oxford for 10 weeks, trying to help find ways to improve radiotherapy. I’m leaning towards becoming an Oncologist once i’m a doctor, but i’m still deciding.
I have mentored lots of people applying to Medicine in the UK before, either at Oxbridge or elsewhere. I hope I can help you negotiate the application system, bring out the best of your achievements in your application and instil confidence in you!
Outside of the biosciences, I’m really interested in Russian language & culture, having travelled to Russia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. I’m keen on photography, especially when combined with travel. I was one of the captains of the football team during my time at Trinity College, which was great fun.
