I am an academic subject tutor with InGenius Prep. I’m originally from Houston, Texas and moved to California where I live now. I attended Stanford University, where I earned a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Product Design. During my studies I worked on a number of design projects in education. These experiences propelled me to continue teaching after graduation. I haven’t stopped tutoring since!
I have had the pleasure of working with students of all ages; my main focus levels are young undergraduates, high schoolers, and middle schoolers. I have many years of experience tutoring students in math, science, and test prep. My tutoring philosophy reflects the belief that students learn best when information is presented to them in multiple ways. My ultimate goal is to instill students with the knowledge, skill, and confidence to succeed in all their educational endeavors.
In my free time I enjoy hiking, biking, cooking, and scuba diving. In college I played tennis and ultimate frisbee (and the occasional game of pick-up soccer). Building is one of my passions, having designed and built a couple large scale art installations. I am currently working on a cabin with one of my friends!
