Sophia Helfand is a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep based in Chicago, IL. She is currently pursuing a J.D. at the University of Chicago Law School. Sophia holds a B.A. in Political Science from Stanford University.
Sophia’s passion for law and advocacy has been a driving force throughout her academic and professional journey. During her undergraduate studies, she was a member of the Stanford Mock Trial team and actively volunteered in community-based legal initiatives. After graduating, Sophia worked as a Client Advocate with the Alameda County Public Defender’s Office, where she gained valuable experience in assisting indigent defendants.
As a Graduate Coach, Sophia is dedicated to helping students identify their strengths, articulate their passions, and craft compelling personal statements that showcase their unique potential. She believes a legal education can be a powerful tool for positive change and encourages students from all backgrounds to pursue their aspirations.
