About Zihao (Sam) Ding

Sam Ding is a Graduate Coach at InGenius Prep with a background in Statistics and Data Science. Sam is currently pursuing his Master’s in Applied Data Science at the University of Chicago, after graduating from Macalester College with a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics and Media Studies.

Sam have professional experience in industries like tech and transportation, and he has a keen interest in telling stories. Sam’s college Media Studies major equips him with skills in visual storytelling, narrative development, and engaging audiences. In parallel, his Statistics major enables him to uncover valuable insights and patterns within data.

Currently, Sam is studying machine learning, NLP, and tools that can enable enterprises access to more insights on big data. As a Graduate Coach, he specializes in helping students build strong candidacy for graduate school, particularly in the field of Data Science. Sam’s unique background allows him to guide aspiring students in crafting compelling narratives to excel in their applications for STEM degrees.
