Jade Smart is a Former Admissions Officer with InGenius Prep based in North Carolina. As a higher education professional with a passion for student development, Jade has a wide-ranging view of the college experience. Having earned both her bachelor’s degree in Communications and her master’s degree in Higher Education from The University of Pennsylvania, Jade has gone on to work at some of the most selective institutions. Now, she brings a wealth of knowledge from her educational background and professional experience to her role at InGenius Prep.
At Yale, Jade spent several years as an external application reader in the school’s former partnership with the National University of Singapore. While there, she read hundreds of primarily US-based applications for Yale’s undergraduate admissions, focusing on students seeking an international experience in Asia. She also worked with students at Penn, supporting everyone from incoming freshmen to Wharton alumni. Jade has volunteered as an Alumni Interviewer for Penn and has successfully advised peers and younger students on their applications to other institutions at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.
As a Former Admission Officer with InGenius Prep, Jade is personally invested in the admissions success of every student she counsels. She is deeply familiar with what selective universities seek out in their candidates and is an energetic coach, guiding students toward their goals. Jade is dedicated to her students’ development and works to guide them through the application process.
