Hi there! I am a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep. I recently received my PhD in Biological Sciences from Columbia University, with a research focus on Genetics and Developmental Biology. Prior to graduate school, I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Molecular and Cell Biology from University of California, Berkeley. This fall, I will be starting my career as a life science consultant, advising biotech and pharmaceutical companies.
I always find satisfaction in helping others and providing guidance in academic/career planning. In graduate school, I was the president of the Biological Sciences Career Initiative, a student group that aims to help peers navigate career development after graduate school. Together, we organized numerous career panels and resume/cover letter workshops for PhD students and implemented a mentorship system that connects current graduate students with alumni in different industries. It was always rewarding to see peers gain more clarity on their career paths and succeed in achieving their career goals. As an undergraduate, I was also a tutor at the Student Learning Center, working closely with students individually or as a group over the semester on English writing and Biology. I hope to continue to guide prospective/current students in their academic/career path, and I look forward to be a part of many more success stories.
In my free time, I enjoy Muay Thai (Thai boxing) and anything food related, from trying out new restaurants/bars to trying out new recipes.
